Phase 1 Notice: This Privacy Policy covers Phase 1 of EthicaFi's operations (data gathering only — no financial transactions). It will be updated before full platform operations begin to reflect financial data handling, KYC/AML processing, and account management.
Plain Language Summary: EthicaFi collects your name, email, phone number, and basic business or investment information when you submit a form on our website. We use that information to follow up with you about our platform as it develops. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We store it securely in our CRM. EthicaFi LLC ("EthicaFi," "we," "us," or "our") is a Shariah-compliant peer-to-peer financing matchmaking platform headquartered in Florida, United States. We operate the website ethicafi.com and associated forms and communications.

When you submit a borrower financing application or investor registration form on our website, we collect:

  • Business name, business type, industry, and financing amount range (borrowers)
  • Investor type, approximate investment range, and accredited investor self-identification (investors)
  • Brief description of use of funds or investment interests (optional free-text fields)
  • How you heard about EthicaFi (optional)

We do not collect sensitive financial data in Phase 1. We do not collect Social Security Numbers, bank account numbers, tax identification numbers, or financial statements through these forms. That information will only be collected when full platform operations begin, as part of the full onboarding process, governed by an updated version of this Privacy Policy.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit ethicafi.com, standard web analytics tools may automatically collect:

  • Referring URL
  • General geographic location (city/region level, not precise location)

We do not use your information to make any automated financial decisions about you in Phase 1. No credit checks, scoring, or financial assessments are conducted at this stage.

4. How We Share Your Information

EthicaFi does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We do not share your information with advertisers.

4.1 Service Providers

  • GoHighLevel (GHL): Our CRM and email automation platform. Form submissions and email communications are stored in GHL.
  • Google (reCAPTCHA): Used on our forms to prevent spam submissions.
  • Email delivery infrastructure: Used to deliver our email sequences to your inbox.

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of EthicaFi, our users, or the public.

4.3 Business Transfers

If EthicaFi is acquired, merged, or its assets are transferred to another entity, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your information is stored within GoHighLevel's cloud infrastructure. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Access controls limiting who within EthicaFi can access your data
  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) on our website and forms
  • Use of reputable, security-certified third-party platforms

6. Data Retention

  • Lead form submissions: Retained until you request deletion or the end of EthicaFi's operations.
  • Email communications: Retained for a minimum of four (4) years for CAN-SPAM compliance.
  • Analytics data: Per the retention policies of the analytics tools we use (typically 26 months).

7. Your Rights & Choices

7.1 Unsubscribe from Email

Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. We will honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. You may also unsubscribe by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Unsubscribe."

7.2 Access & Correction

7.3 Deletion

You may request deletion of your personal information by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." We will process your request within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain certain records.

7.4 Florida Residents

Florida residents have rights under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights and Florida's data breach notification law (Florida Statute § 501.171). If we experience a data breach that is reasonably believed to have affected your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

7.5 California Residents

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale.
